A bus carrying about 40 rural workers overturned and caught fire on highway MGC-367 in Diamantina (MG) on Saturday night (9/5). At least one person died and others were injured. The workers were traveling from Unaí to Itamarandiba.

The workers involved in the accident were employed in corn harvesting and were traveling from Unaí, in the northwest of the state, to Itamarandiba, in the Alto Jequitinhonha region. The accident occurred at Serra do Gombô, a mountainous area on the MGC-367 highway.
