Petrobras raises natural gas prices by 19.2% for distributors

Petrobras announced a 19.2% increase in natural gas prices sold to distributors starting Friday (May 1st). The adjustment affects piped gas and CNG, but not bottled gas. The company also raised aviation fuel prices.

Petrobras adjusts natural gas prices every three months according to contracts with distributors, following variations in Brent oil, exchange rates and the Henry Hub index. During the period considered for this increase, Brent oil prices rose about 24.3%, while US natural gas fell 14.1% and the real appreciated 2.5% against the dollar.
