The payment slip can be paid via Pix, credit card, account debit, or at lottery agencies. The Federal Collection Guide (GRU Cobrança) is available on the Participant Page on the Inep portal, accessed with the Gov.br password. Inep warns that the amount will not be refunded, except in case of cancellation of the Enem edition, and that duplicate payments or payments of an amount different from R$ 85 will not be reimbursed.

Inep granted free registration for Enem 2026 to five profiles: students enrolled in the 3rd year of high school in public schools in 2026; students who completed all of high school in public schools or as full scholarship holders in private schools with a family income of up to 1.5 minimum wages per person; students participating in the MEC's Pé-de-Meia program; people in socioeconomic vulnerability with registration in CadÚnico; and participants who will use the results to request a high school completion certificate and are registered in CadÚnico.

Those who obtained exemption from the Enem 2026 registration fee but are absent on both test days do not automatically lose the right to exemption for future editions, but will need to justify the absence in the Enem 2027 exemption system if they wish to request a new exemption, according to INEP Edict No. 64/2026. The deadline to justify absence in Enem 2025 — for exempt candidates who missed both test days — has already ended; the period occurred from April 13 to 24, 2026.
