Prosecutor releases video of attempted intrusion at Trump dinner

The District of Columbia prosecutor general released video on April 30 showing Cole Allen attempting to breach the White House correspondents' dinner on April 25. Allen shot a Secret Service agent, was contained, and did not reach the main hall where President Trump was located.

The White House Correspondents' Dinner is a traditional event that brings together journalists and American authorities, including the president. Cole Allen was formally charged by the U.S. Department of Justice with attempted assassination of Trump and other crimes related to firearm possession.
