The TSE presented on Monday (4th) the official mascot for the 2026 elections, called Pilili. The character inspired by the electronic voting machine will be used in campaigns to encourage young people to vote. The launch took place during an event marking 30 years of electronic voting machines in Brazil.
Electronic voting machines were first used in Brazil in 1996, replacing paper ballots and eliminating electoral fraud. The TSE launches mascots to connect with young audiences and encourage electoral participation, especially among 16-18 year old voters who have the optional right to vote.
